We will be heading up to The Shuffle House for a game or two on the Shuffleboards.

What is a Shuffle Board? The story begins in England, 15th Century, where locals played an after dinner game of sliding a “great” (a large coin) down a table. The game was called shove-groat or slide-groat. Later, a silver penny was used and the name of the game became shove-penny.

The action takes place on a large wooden slab which runs almost the length of the table, on which the steel pucks glide with silky smoothness. High scores are achieved by getting your pucks into the zones nearest the end of the board whilst avoiding dropping off the end.
